On Friday, 14 September 2018, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Kaunas, on Kuršių street, at the junction with Jotvingių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D registered in Great Britain, a Citroen C5 and a Volkswagen Polo. One person was injured — the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
