On Sunday, 16 September 2018, at night at around 2:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilkija–Čekiškė–Ariogala regional road (kilometre 3.60), a BMW X5 3.0D rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the BMW (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
