On Friday, 21 September 2018, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Turgaus street near No. 4, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 42-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
