On Wednesday, 26 September 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Utena national road (kilometre 43), a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Volvo FH. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
