On Wednesday, 26 September 2018, in the evening at 21:22, in Vilnius, on Tverečiaus street near No. 6, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
