On Friday, 28 September 2018, in the afternoon at 12:45, in Trakų district municipality, on the Trakai–Rūdiškės–Pivašiūnai–Alytus national road (kilometre 12.03), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Chrysler PT Cruiser and a Nissan Sunny. One person was injured — the 67-year-old driver of the Nissan (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Chrysler (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
