On Tuesday, 2 October 2018, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Dvyliškės village, on the Upyna–Bijotai–Bardžiai regional road (kilometre 2.20), a Mercedes-Benz ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
