On Saturday, 6 October 2018, in the afternoon at 15:37, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Vilniaus street near No. 43, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Seat Alhambra and a Toyota Avensis. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Seat (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
