On Saturday, 13 October 2018, in the evening at 21:30, in Kaunas, on Virvių street near No. 12, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323, a Citroen C3 and a Volkswagen Passat Variant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.26‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
