On Saturday, 13 October 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Gedimino street near No. 10, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz A170 and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 14-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
