On Wednesday, 17 October 2018, in the evening at 19:20, in Klaipėda, on Pilies street, at the junction with Minijos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 626 registered in Latvia and a BMW X5 3.0D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Mazda (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.71‰ blood alcohol).
