On Saturday, 20 October 2018, in the evening at 17:20, in Kauno district municipality, Zapyškio town, on Muziejaus street near No. 4, at the junction with Vytauto street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Land Cruiser and an Opel Tigra. One person was injured — the 38-year-old driver of the Opel (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Toyota (less than a year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. She had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
