On Monday, 22 October 2018, in the evening at 20:10, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Šiaulėnai–Šaukotas–Pašušvys regional road (kilometre 23.63), an Audi A4 Avant ran off the road. Two people were injured — a 18-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient) and a 17-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
