On Wednesday, 24 October 2018, in the evening at 17:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, Rūtakiemio village, on the Krekenava–Skėmai–Grinkiškis regional road (kilometre 11.60), an Opel Vectra-B-Caravan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Opel (27 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
