On Monday, 29 October 2018, in the morning at 7:40, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 178.95), a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
