On Monday, 5 November 2018, at night at 2:05, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Plungė–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 28.47), a head-on collision occurred. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
