On Thursday, 8 November 2018, in the afternoon at 13:38, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Laisvės street, at the junction with A. Baranausko street, a Renault Megane Scenic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
