On Friday, 9 November 2018, in the evening at 20:49, in Vilnius, on Pupinės street near No. 5, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (20 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
