On Friday, 16 November 2018, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., at the junction with Birštono street, a collision with one vehicle turning left and the other right occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Golf (8 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
