On Saturday, 1 December 2018, in the afternoon at 14:24, in Vilnius, on Vikingų street, a Toyota RAV4 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Toyota (20 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
