On Saturday, 1 December 2018, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Prienų district municipality, Skriaudžių village, on Kauno street, at the junction with Jaunimo street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a car and a Citroen Xsara Picasso. Five people were injured — the 39-year-old driver of a car (hospitalized), a 35-year-old passenger of a car (hospitalized), a 7-year-old passenger of a car (hospitalized), a 5-year-old passenger of a car (hospitalized) and a 49-year-old passenger of the Citroen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of a car (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
