Opel Corsa hits a child at a crossing at Beržų g. and Staniūnų g., Panevėžys

On Tuesday, 4 December 2018, in the evening at 18:15, in Panevėžys, on Beržų street, at the junction with Staniūnų street, an Opel Corsa hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel (3 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
