On Friday, 7 December 2018, in the afternoon at 14:19, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) national road (kilometre 24.18), a Chrysler PT Cruiser rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Chrysler (22 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
