On Saturday, 15 December 2018, at night at 3:40, in Kaunas, on V. Krėvės pr. near No. 49, a Ford Mondeo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
