On Saturday, 15 December 2018, in the morning at around 10:00, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., at the junction with M. Daukšos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Prius, a Volkswagen, a Skoda Fabia and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Toyota (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
