On Sunday, 16 December 2018, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Vilnius, on Lvovo street near No. 38A, an Opel hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 79-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Opel (12 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
