On Friday, 21 December 2018, in the morning at around 8:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, on Kauno street near No. 14, an Audi 100 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 78-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 85-year-old driver of the Audi (44 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
