On Saturday, 29 December 2018, at night at 1:15, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on Pušų street, at the junction with Dariaus ir Girėno street, a Lexus RX 300 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Lexus (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
