On Saturday, 5 January 2019, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Vilnius, on Virginijaus Druskio street near No. 10, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S60 and a Volkswagen Caddy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volvo (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
