On Tuesday, 8 January 2019, in the evening at 19:54, in Vilnius, on Gariūnų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
