On Wednesday, 16 January 2019, in the evening at 17:34, in Šilutės district municipality, Traksėdžių village, on Šilojų street, an Opel Astra rolled over. Two people died — the 29-year-old driver of the Opel and a 9-year-old passenger of the Opel. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Opel (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
