On Sunday, 20 January 2019, in the evening at 20:39, in Vilnius, on Taikos street near No. 77, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 607 and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
