On Sunday, 27 January 2019, at night at 1:30, in Skuodo district municipality, on the Skuodas–Plungė national road (kilometre 10.27), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a BMW X5 xDrive30d. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.82‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
