On Saturday, 26 January 2019, in the evening at 17:45, in Kretingos district municipality, Padvarių village, on Darbėnų pl. near No. 13, a BMW 330 D ran off the road. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the BMW (32 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.29‰ blood alcohol). A 25-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (1.87‰). A 18-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (0.83‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
