On Monday, 28 January 2019, in the afternoon at 13:55, in Kaunas, on Pramonės pr., at the junction with Taikos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a Peugeot 307. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
