On Saturday, 26 January 2019, in the afternoon at 11:29, in Klaipėda, on Utenos street, a Scania ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Scania (11 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
