On Friday, 8 February 2019, in the evening at around 17:00, in Vilnius, on Gariūnų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Skoda Fabia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (4 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
