On Monday, 11 February 2019, in the afternoon at 16:48, in Vilnius, on Kareivių street near No. 3, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Scania (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
