On Friday, 15 February 2019, at night at 23:45, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 46.55), at a gas station, a Renault Magnum 440.19T ran off the road. One person was injured — the 54-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Multivan (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Renault (3 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
