On Tuesday, 26 February 2019, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Kaunas, on Raudondvario pl. near No. 87, at the junction with Betygalos street, an Audi 80 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Audi (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
