On Wednesday, 27 February 2019, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Klaipėdos city municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 1), a Volkswagen Golf Plus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (43 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober.
