On Saturday, 13 April 2019, in the evening at 18:12, in Vilnius, on Lakūnų street, at the junction with Verkių street, at a pedestrian crossing, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
