On Monday, 6 May 2019, in the evening at around 18:00, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr. near No. 107, a Nissan Primastar hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 58-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 58-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway in a built-up area outside a crossing where there is a median strip. He was drunk (2.37‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
