On Monday, 6 May 2019, in the evening at 19:43, in Marijampolės municipality, Gavaltuvos village, on Dvaro street, at the junction with Sodo street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a X Star MT 50 and a Yamaha. Two people were injured — the 17-year-old driver of the X Star (hospitalized) and the 17-year-old driver of the Yamaha (hospitalized, had no driving licence). The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the X Star, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
