On Wednesday, 8 May 2019, in the evening at around 18:00, in Klaipėda, on Smiltelės street, at the junction with I. Simonaitytės street, a Ford Galaxy hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to obey traffic-control signals. He had no driving licence.
