On Thursday, 9 May 2019, in the morning at 8:55, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Kampo street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Safrane and a Volvo S70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 83-year-old driver of the Renault (51 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
