On Wednesday, 15 May 2019, in the evening at 17:05, in Biržų district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 8, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Carisma and an Audi A4 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 88-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (55 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
