On Wednesday, 24 April 2019, in the evening at 21:30, in Alytus, on Kalniškės street near No. 5, a Honda Accord hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Honda (8 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
