On Monday, 13 May 2019, in the evening at 19:20, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Geležinio Vilko street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Auris and a Kawasaki GPZ 500. Two people were injured — a 21-year-old passenger of the Kawasaki (treated as an outpatient) and the 22-year-old driver of the Kawasaki (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Toyota (21 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
