On Wednesday, 22 May 2019, in the morning at 8:30, in Šilutės district municipality, on Gluosnių street, at the junction with Klaipėdos street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Opel (23 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
